Searingstar jumped down from the Highstump and padded over to Foresteyes.
"It's okay," she said. "If anyone becomes sick, Sapphire-eyes can help." She half-lied. What if she couldn't help?
Searingstar padded over to Snowclaw and the fresh-kill pile. She took a couple sniffs here and there, then started carefully removing pieces of it. She didn't see anything else that could be... There! She found a pigeon with a similar spot. She dragged it out by the tail feathers, then went back to looking.
Sapphire-eyes came back a few minutes later, with some large leaves and some lavendar. She covered the mouse and pigeon with the leaves, and chewed up the lavendar slightly so it would begin to give of its pleasent scent.
